This notice explains what happens to any personal information you give us through this website. It is written in plain English because that is how we would rather be spoken to ourselves.
Who we are
Callaghan Decorators is run by Roy Callaghan, trading as a sole trader, at 10 Finlas Avenue, Alloway, Ayr KA7 4SG. For anything to do with your personal data, contact Roy on 07902 683322 or roycal2@gmail.com. He is the "data controller" for the purposes of UK data protection law.
What we collect, and why
The only personal information this website collects is what you choose to type into the enquiry form: your name, phone number, optionally your email address, the kind of job you are asking about, and your message.
We use it for one thing: to get back to you about your enquiry. The legal basis is that you have asked us to, which the law calls "taking steps at your request before entering into a contract".
Where it goes
When you press Send, the form is delivered as an email to Roy's inbox, with a copy to our web team at Apex West Ltd so that enquiries are not missed. It is carried by Cloudflare, the company that hosts this website. The website itself keeps no copy: there is no database, no account, and nothing stored on the site after the email is sent.
We do not sell, rent or share your details with anyone else, and we do not use them for marketing.
How long we keep it
Roy keeps enquiry emails for as long as they are useful for dealing with your job, and then deletes them. If you would like yours deleted sooner, just ask.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set any cookies, does not use analytics, and does not load anything from advertising or social media companies. Every file it uses, including the fonts and photographs, is served from our own address. There is nothing following you around. See our short cookie statement.
Your rights
You have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how it is used. To do any of that, contact Roy using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would much rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Our website hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare's servers see your IP address and browser details when they send you the page, and keep standard server logs for security and reliability. We do not see or use those logs to identify anyone.
Changes
If we ever change what this website does with your information, we will update this notice and the date at the top.
